Literature, writers and standards

If you want to create better and standard literature, you have to choose new topics

The problem with today's writers is that they can't write anything new, something untouched. Just the same old love stories, stories of girls running away from home, laughter after marriage and the evils of the government.

All these things are heard by the writers of the present age, but no one thinks that it is not enough to raise the slogan of change, but it is also necessary to create a conducive atmosphere for it. People say that the trend of literature changes overnight, but no one plays a role in making this literature acceptable.

Well known author Hasina Moin had said in an interview that the plays she wrote for women at the same time showed women being fearless as well as adhering to Eastern traditions. But in modern times, writers have begun to write fiction about the oppression of women. The same script for every play, crying, washing and slapping.

It goes without saying that nowadays writings that incite rebellion are being liked, whether it is based on religious hatred or the use of the women's card. There is a policy of 'sell what you see'. It can never be called literature, because such writings are fostering error instead of guidance.

Most people want to read dirty literature because good people and good books are not understood by anyone, so people always seem ready to buy popular books.

The atmosphere of dialogue that fosters positive thinking in society is now gone. It is also worth noting that people have become so obsessed with traditional things. It's as if we don't want to get out of our comfort zone. Wherever readers see an untouched topic, no matter how good it may be, they pile up criticism after it is published.

Social media is a prime example of a writer's personal life not being spared there. Criticism is made by making all kinds of nonsensical and vulgar comments that this writer is heartbroken and he stops writing.

Today's writer's hands are tied and the reader's mind is closed. Because people are not ready to read something different, the writer is not even taking the risk of writing something new. Today a good, true and new thought is being suffocated. Unfortunately, such negative thinking is not confined to the individual but takes on a collective form of fanaticism and extremism.

Today's readers and writers don't think that everyone can have their own opinion, they just think that why not everyone has the same opinion as I do. They only think about why they think differently. Both the writer and the reader are compelled in their own place but equally guilty. Both are like a prisoner who loves his chain. They never want to get rid of selfishness, bigotry and monotony.

If we want to create better and quality literature today, we have to choose new topics, but at the same time, it is essential to combine and study the writings of our literary legends.
